Griffith Littlehale, born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, has been building his path through academics, service, and creative development. His journey reflects a consistent pattern of showing up, working hard, and staying grounded in what matters to him.
Griffith attended St. Francis De Sales High School, where he worked hard to balance academic and athletic responsibilities. He graduated in 2018, earning the eighth-highest rank in his class, resulting from sustained effort and focus over the years. During this time, he was also part of the school’s swimming team and achieved All-American Swimmer status in the 2017–2018 academic year. His ability to perform well in both the classroom and sports laid a strong foundation for the next phase of his journey.
Griffith enrolled at the University of Toledo and chose to stay in his hometown for college. He selected psychology as his major, drawn to the field’s focus on understanding human behavior and supporting needy people. With a 4.0 GPA, he has maintained a strong academic record throughout his college experience. His work was recognized early with the President’s Education Award. In addition, he was invited to join the Jesup Scott Honors College and became a member of the Kappa Psi Fraternity. Each of these milestones highlights the consistency of his academic efforts and the respect he has earned from his peers and instructors.
Beyond psychology coursework, Griffith took on additional training to enhance his understanding of care. In April 2025, he completed the Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification through the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. His dedication to this program was evident in both classroom and clinical settings, and he was honored with the Clinical Excellence Award. This experience provided him with direct exposure to emergency medical care, reinforcing his long-standing interest in serving others in need.
Helping others has always been part of Griffith’s routine, not as a requirement, but as something he chooses to do. He regularly volunteered at local churches during high school and college. His work included preparing meals, organizing events, and contributing to outreach programs for people experiencing homelessness. He also participated in food drives organized by United Way and remained involved in similar efforts whenever allowed. Volunteering allowed him to stay connected with his community while applying his energy toward meaningful causes.
Griffith has nurtured an interest in graphic design alongside his studies and service work. Initially helping with visuals for student-led events and college programs, he began exploring design in more structured ways. Over time, he completed projects for a local theater, including posters and other promotional materials. He also designed seasonal greeting cards and a logo for a local church. This creative pursuit gave him different satisfaction based on communication, aesthetics, and community engagement. It remains a practical skill that he continues to develop.
Griffith’s personal development includes time spent with classic literature and philosophy. He enjoys the works of authors like Edgar Allan Poe, Bret Easton Ellis, Oscar Wilde, and Descartes. Reading these writers has helped him expand his thinking and brought new dimensions to his academic and personal reflections. He sees reading as not an escape but another way to grow.
Griffith doesn’t approach the future with a fixed plan but with openness and readiness to keep growing. He is considering graduate studies in psychology and remains interested in freelance work in design. Whether through further education, creative projects, or service to others, he plans to continue following a path shaped by purpose, not pressure.
